The best thing about a hotel room is the view. In this photo series you can see what we could see by looking out from our windows in the hotel we lived and worked for a half a year. Like the sauna on the sea, with its constantly flowing traffic, people are going in, coming out, and us, the observers – Bornholm, Denmark, between October 2011 and March 2022.

If you are asking us what we will remember the most about Portugal, the answer will be: the stones. Strange, ancient creatures. Sometimes they seem alive, sometimes they can cheat you with their material. They can look soft, or warm, or sometimes even flexible. They can look like animals, humans, your family, or simply just giants sitting around, petrified by the Gods for committing a terrible crime. The locals are using them and integrating them into their houses, lives.
